Stanwood Youth Football is a community run nonprofit organization providing our youth a place to grow within our community.
Stanwood Youth Football relies 100% on unpaid volunteers to donate their time to make all of this successful for our children in the community. Without volunteers and their efforts none of this
would be possible.
Stanwood Youth Football is successful because of volunteer help at all levels. This is your community and YOUR program; we
respectfully request 5 or more hours of participation from every family in any of the following areas. Please do your part in helping to make this program successful for this season and for seasons

Board Member [BOARD MEMBER]
The purpose of this board is to uphold the organization's mission and purpose, ensure effective organizational planning, obtain and manage resources effectively, monitor and assess its own
performance. Within the SYF board, we have 8 voting members to include:
President - facilitates the direction and progress of the organization.
Vice President - supports the President and acts on his behalf in his absence.
Secretary - responsible for fostering communication and diligence through proper management, maintaining accurate documentation, reviewing and updating documents as necessary and ensuring
all documents are safely stored and readily accessible.
Treasurer - responsible for managing the financial administration of the organization.
4 other voting members - these positions serve to support the executive board and manage their own committees related to the needs of the organization.

Coach [COACH]
Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Special Teams Coaches, Assist with drills at practice

Team Parent [TEAM PARENT]
Generally, this position serves as liaison between coach and parents. This position is responsible for passing along info from coaches to parents in written and verbal format, general info
regarding team games, practices schedules, helping to support parents in reaching their fundraising goals, helping to support families in their volunteer hours, planning end of season banquet,
assisting in any team coordination needed with league events. This person needs to be organized, communicate and relate well to others, have access to email, needs to be discrete in confidential
information. Other as needed duties may apply.

Concessions [CONCESSIONS]
Concession Manager(s) - 1-2 people needed throughout season who work well together to oversee this weekly fundraiser during our season games. The Manager position is responsible for
shopping, storing, an overseeing concessions stand during home games, setup and takedown of all concession equipment (tables, coolers, bbq, crockpots).
Concessions Volunteers - 3-4 people needed per game to assist customers in providing them with purchased food items, taking cash and making change, grilling and sometimes running to the
store for items.

Car Wash
Committee [CAR WASH
COMMITTEE]
3-4 Volunteers needed to help coordinate, organize, and schedule teams, setup and takedown on day of event. Approaching local business to see about having donations of soap, sponges, pizza, and
water needs to be done.

Field
Maintenance [FIELD
MAINTENANCE]
Volunteers needed to work with schools and school district to obtain fields for practice and games. Assess condition of fields prior to practices beginning and coordinates any maintenance that
needs to done. Stripes the fields prior to games and oversees that maintenance throughout the season. Organizes porta potties and works to get coaches practicing on fields the proper rules and
regulations associated with that field.

Game
Day Field Setup [GAME DAY FIELD
SETUP]
Volunteers needed to arrive at least 1.5 hours before 1st home game to setup rope, field markers, scoreboard and any other necessary equipment. Volunteers need to arrive prior to the ending of
the last game of the day to take down above equipment, store accordingly, help with any garbage cleanup and assist in helping concessions take down.

Game Day Field Monitor [GAME DAY
FIELD MONITOR]
The person taking on this role is required to be in attendance one hour prior to game starting. This person is expected to monitor and enforce the rules and regulations between coaches, chain
crew, parents, fans and players. Ideally, we'd like to see one person take this role on for the entire season as it involves, knowledge of rules and regulations but in the event it's not
possible, more than one individual is allowed.

Game Day
Chain Crew [GAME DAY CHAIN
CREW]
3 Volunteers are required for this role before a game can begin. Typically the chain crew consists of adults or prior approved older youths. Pre-game meeting takes place with chain crew, field
monitor and referees to assure all officials are on the same page. Two people hold the chains. A third person marks the approximate spot of the ball after each play with a down marker. On first
downs, the box man estimates the spot, using the ball placed on the field or the foot of a side judge as a gauge. One end of the chains is placed on the same spot, the other stretched 10 yards
upfield. The chain crew must be able to focus at all times on the game and chain crew rules must be followed during the game.

Equipment [EQUIPMENT]
Volunteers are needed to assist Equipment Manager in taking inventory of equipment, assessing any needs for maintenance to equipment, helps in gear issue and gear return.

Camps [CAMPS]
Volunteers are needed to assist Camp Manager in scheduling, organizing, volunteering for and overseeing the camp(s) offered by SYF and Stanwood High School.
